BUMP TRACK

The Bump Track follows an unused logging track through dense rainforest connecting the coast near Port Douglas to the tablelands 400m or so above. It is steep in places making it far more popular to ride down than up. It includes a 2km non-stop downhill amid some stunning rainforest scenery (if you have time to notice it).

TWIN BRIDGES

The trail is an unused logging trail and route to Kuranda. Now mostly overgrown and reduced to wonderful rainforest single track. Can be ridden one way with 4x4 vehicle recovery via Black Mountain Road or loop back to start also along Black Mountain Road. No big climbs and no big descents, a few creek crossings and old bridges in varying stages of disrepair. Very picturesque rainforest scenery. Susceptible to ‘wait-a-while’ vine - BEWARE

BELLS HILL

This is a good surface fire trail connecting the top of the Bump Track with Bordeline, Lemon and Brumby's trail. It includes a climb over Bells Hill whether approaching from west or east. The trail can be boggy in places after moderate rainfall but dries well. Great flowing descending from the top of Bells Hill. The trail is accessible from Wetherby Road (Mount Molloy) in the west or Black Mountain Road in the east.

LEMON TRACK

Lemon Track is a narrow sIngletrack one-way trail through semi-dry forest. Expect a few difficult, yet short pinch climbs and descents along the way. The area is susceptible to prolonged rain and may be closed for some months after heavy rain periods. The trail is best accessed via the Borderline Trail off Bells Hill, and is easily linked with Brumby’s Trail to form a 32km loop. Some rutted sections and loose surface in places.

BRUMBY’S

Brumby’s is a sIngletrack trail through Savannah forest that links Wetherby road, Lemon Track and Black Mountain Road. The trail can be rutted in places and becomes boggy in places during the wet months (Dec-April). Look out for wild brumbys along the way (don’t approach them). Can be ridden in either direction and often used to form a circular route of approx 34kms encompassing Borderline, Lemon Track, Brumby’s & Bells Hill.

BORDERLINE

A short technical and physically demanding trail linking Bells Hill to Lemon Track. Using this routes will keep riders on higher ground thereby avoiding the wettest parts of Lemon Track. Several short and sharp pinch climbs makes it quite demanding physically. Steep and in places loose, tight, narrow single track will test your technical skills too. It traverses savannah forest and becomes quite remote with no phone signal. Often used to form a loop of approx 34kms including Lemon Track, Brumby’s and Bell Hill Trails.
